Many villages in the Philippines don't have access to drinking water. But  this team has found a way to address this. Thanks to a 200-year-old system and with no electricity.

00:57It can pump water very high using the pressure of the river as the pumping force.

03:58The final design has to be calculated upon the flow of the river and the angle of the reflux valves.

04:08The water goes down from the river.

04:11When it reaches a certain speed, it suddenly closes the valve.

04:16That makes a bong.

04:20It's a back pressure that lifts up the water and the cycle starts again.
