00:00A 20-year-old man living in Iran was literally beheaded by his family members for no reason other than the fact that he was gay.
00:15These diabolical acts that are carried out in the name of honor, it's not honor.
00:21It's murder. This happens to a lot of queer people all around the world.
00:25I'm lucky to live in the UK where I have protection, but it's not the same for a lot of queer people that live around the world.
00:31His story traumatized me and has done for days. And what did he do to deserve this? He was gay.
00:55This lad was killed at 20 years old just because he was gay.
01:09His cousins, his own family members, beheaded him and left him underneath a tree and killed him because they found out the military refused him because of his sexual preference.
01:26What the f**k? He was 20 years old. He had his own life ahead.
01:32Depending on where you live, it might seem surprising that stuff like this still happens.
01:36But fun fact for you, as of today, there are still almost 70 different countries where being gay is against the law.
01:41And 10 of those countries, including Iran, has the crime as being punishable by death.
01:45So yes, it probably happens a lot more than we think.
01:56I don't know what to say. I'm just shocked and appalled. Look how happy he was there.
02:11And his life is now gone just because of who he loved, who he had feelings towards.
02:17Next time you're so offended that you don't have straight pride, you're not thrown in the streets, disowned and even killed by your own families.
02:24You don't need straight pride. My heart goes out to all the queer people all around the world that can't be their authentic selves.
