00:00I decided to climate strike online because I knew that it was important to keep the momentum of the youth climate strikes going
00:06and make sure that everyone understands that the youth climate movement has knock on anywhere.
00:10We need to go to Twitter, we need to go to Instagram, we need to go to Facebook
00:15so that we let people know that climate change is not on a vacation, that climate change is here.
00:21It didn't take a break, it is not in quarantine, it is here and it is destroying people's lives like it has always done.
00:29I strike for climate digitally because even though we are facing another crisis right now,
00:34the climate crisis doesn't wait, so neither will we.
00:37I joined to climate strike online because everyone has to show that we care.
00:42We destroyed, we exploited our mother earth beyond repair
00:47and this lockdown period for humans is a healing period for our mother earth.
00:54I am striking in my country because I want change.
00:58I want a better future. I want a better future for the coming generations
01:03and justice for those whose lives have already been destroyed by the climate crisis.
01:09I'm demanding the Turkish parliament to implement the Paris climate agreement
01:14because in order to solve a crisis, we first have to recognize that it's a crisis.
01:20What I'm fighting for in my country is to stop the construction of new fossil fuel infrastructure.
01:26No more fossil fuels.
01:28We have the feeling that we are not heard, but I think we really have to keep fighting,
01:35keep doing it with a big smile and hope for a change.
01:41My message to the young people around the world, especially the activists, is to keep demanding for action.
01:48We will get through the climate crisis if we stand together.
01:53We have come so far and we have started a wave of changes that is unstoppable.
02:00We're all in this together.
02:02Though it may seem like we're physically separated, we are mentally together.
02:06Our fight continues.
02:09Let's rethink what's possible and let's do it all together.
