01:15The issues that concern women specifically are always the last to be considered and we,

01:27like in this country, we were getting very impatient.

01:29We cannot wait for daycare centers anymore.

01:32We cannot wait for longer maternity leave anymore.

01:35We cannot wait to have a similar pay on the labor market as men anymore.

01:39So if men are not going to do it, we simply have to do it ourselves.

01:45When I realized that this seemed so important in the world, that a woman should be elected

02:09as President of Iceland, it opened my eyes and I became a feminist.
