00:00What happened?
00:07Does he have a pulse?
00:08What's happening?
00:11Oh, my God.
00:12Seriously?
00:14♪♪
00:28They took him from my mom's arms.
00:30He said, please don't kill me, please don't kill me.
00:33They said something like, we're not gonna kill you.
00:36So one officer held his legs, feet,
00:44and crossed it and pushed it, you know, towards his butt.
00:50So he's holding that.
00:52And the other officer handcuffed him and knelt on, you know,
00:58the back of his neck.
01:00The officer who was kneeling on his neck got tired
01:05and was replaced by another officer.
01:07But, you know, he's not moving anymore.
01:10♪♪
01:22I personally still have trouble believing that it happened,
01:26that he's not gonna come back.
01:29And when, in the moments that I'm not busy with all of this,
01:35thinking about all of this,
01:37when I realize he's not coming back, I just freak out.
01:42And it's awful.
01:47And we don't want anybody to ever have to feel that way again.
01:51We don't want more people to have to feel that way.
01:54♪♪
02:18The opportunity we have here is to make sure
02:22that this doesn't happen to other people.
02:24We've learned that we're not alone, unfortunately.
02:28If this was a one-time thing, that would be one thing.
02:32But even here in Antioch, even today,
02:36there's another death in custody.
02:38And there have been a series just in this one city.
02:41And throughout the U.S.,
02:43we've seen George Floyd with the same restraint.
02:45So it seems like we can't get any reform
02:50to the way that policing is done.
02:52And the only way to do that is to get the word out.
