00:09But it didn't happen that way, did it? That day?
00:23It's one of those cases that no one would ever think would exist.
00:27And it's one of those cases where there are no winners.
00:30A wonderful human being has lost his life, but the evidence shows it's just a tragedy.
00:36A horrible, horrible tragedy.
00:57Stand Your Ground empowers people to maybe think we can decrease the value of human life.
01:13Stand Your Ground, it's a John Wayne kind of thing.
01:17We have to stop being John Waynes and start caring about other people.
01:27I wanted to believe in my heart that this jury would come back with a just verdict.
01:50You know, tomorrow is Jordan's birthday.
01:52But how many other Jordan birthdays that we will not celebrate until we can change the law?
01:58I'm not outraged with just my own community.
02:01I'm outraged with the entire community, because this should bother everyone.
02:06That someone can kill someone's child, go back and have wine or eat a pizza, and act like nothing ever happened.
02:23You even have people calling this the Trayvon Martin case, and Trayvon Martin wasn't on trial.
02:28And so that right there tells me that, you know, we kind of got it a little twisted.
02:33That this case wasn't Trayvon Martin's case.
02:37Trayvon was the victim. Trayvon was murdered.
02:40Someone my age was taken, their life was taken, just because they were walking back to their house.
02:46We always think that because we're young, we get to live forever.
02:50But our life can be gone with just a blink of the eye, because of people, the way they judge us.
03:20To accept the premise that she could just walk into somebody's home, who was no threat to anybody,
03:41kill that person, and then walk away with, geez, I really messed up there, is absolutely unreasonable.
