00:27Where I grew up, I grew up in the interior of northeast of Ceará.
00:31So, there I was kind of protected,
00:37welcomed in that small place, where everyone knows each other, where everyone respects each other.
00:42🎶
00:59I'm proud. I think this is an important moment in which fashion is an instrument where things can flow more freely.
01:09And this is a moment where it is being debated, where it is being talked about,
01:13so that in the future we can be free from these prejudices, that everyone is a human being.
01:40There isn't a lot of representation for gender variant or trans people,
01:45so anywhere I go, I'm always showing up in the best way that I can,
01:49because visibility is important and people need to be able to see people like them in these spaces.
01:55🎶
02:13This idea that gender is binary is really difficult for a lot of people.
02:17It's really challenging for a lot of people, but trans people that are here,
02:20we've been here for a really long time, and so that requires a different kind of thinking to really acknowledge our existence.
