00:00The Department of Science and Technology, or DOST, continues to help micro, small, and medium enterprises, or MSMEs,

00:07through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program, or SETUP, in NCR.

00:12According to DOST NCR Regional Director Romelan Trasvelyas,

00:17they focused in Metro Manila since most of the MSMEs are from the SED region.

00:23The MSMEs were given assistance in the form of consultancy and capacity building.

00:28So far, 825 firms are automating their processes,

00:32while 7,000 jobs have been created thus far due to the implementation of the SETUP.
