30 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), victims of human trafficking through an online scam network, safely returned to the Philippines early Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025.
The group arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 from Myanmar via Bangkok, after being rescued by Philippine authorities in cooperation with Myanmar officials.
The OFWs, who were forced to work as scammers in a fraudulent operation, had been promised high-paying jobs but instead were forced into deceiving others.
