00:00After the MRT 3's announcement last week of extending its services by an hour more across the board,

00:06the light railway transit also as a result of growing commuter clamor has joined the bandwagon

00:12by following the MRT 3's lead. BTV correspondent Isaiah Mirafuentes has the full story.

00:21Good news for commuters because you no longer have to rush to catch an MRT train when going

00:26home or going to work. Starting tonight, the operating hours of MRT 3 have been extended.

00:31The MRT 3 operation was extended by one hour. Thus, from Monday to Friday, the MRT 3 operating

00:38hours will be longer. Under the new schedule, North Avenue station will close at 10.25 pm

00:44for the last southbound trip, while for the northbound trip, the last train will depart

00:48from Taft Avenue at 11.04 pm. The southbound Magallanes station, on the other hand,

00:54will close at 10.53 pm, while the northbound Gesun Avenue station will close at 11.32 pm.

01:24MRT 3 has also promised to add more trains during rush hours.

01:28Meanwhile, the DOT will also study whether an extension in the operation of LRT 1 and LRT 2
