Venezuela denounces U.S. for blocking migrant repatriation

00:00In Venezuela, the head of the Presidential Dialogue Commission, Jorge Rodríguez, denounced

00:04that the United States Department of State is hindering the repatriation flight of his

00:09countrymen.

00:10This is what he said in a meeting with relatives of the 238 Venezuelan citizens kidnapped in

00:17a prison in El Salvador after an illegitimate negotiation between the Secretary of State

00:23Marco Rubio and the Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele.

00:26The high official reiterated that the country has everything ready to carry out the repatriation

00:32process but the United States Foreign Office persists in blocking the process, while the

00:37courts continue to question the government's handling of the three flights of migrants

00:42that ended up in El Salvador.

00:52The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is being violated.

00:57The United Nations Charter is being violated.

00:59The Universal Convention on the Rights of the Child is being violated.

01:07All the existing conventions on migration and on migrant labor are being violated.

01:13At the same time we want to insist that Venezuela is ready.

01:21We have absolutely everything ready to resume flights from Venezuela to bring Venezuelan

01:26migrants from the United States of America.

01:32We are totally ready, we're just waiting for the necessary coordinations, the one who is

01:37blocking the flights is the State Department of the Government of the United States of

01:41America.
