00:00It's a big help for Filipinos who rely on long-term medicine.
00:04PhilHealth has now removed the 45-day limit for all its benefits.

00:16PhilHealth's services are not expanded under the administration of President Ferdinand Marquez Jr.
00:23In a statement of Radyo Pilipinas, PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Edwin Mercado said
00:29that PhilHealth members should not be worried because they have now removed the 45-day limit for all services.
00:37This is a big help because there were no computers back then.
00:41Our clerks were really struggling.
00:44Now, there are computers and we can see the reason for re-admitting or prolonging the treatment for more than 45 days.
00:55We have removed that.
00:57Dr. Mercado explained that this is due to the removal of the 7-day re-admission limit by the state insurer.
01:04They were also worried about the long-term treatment of our countrymen like chemotherapy.
01:10This also includes all inpatients and outpatients in all accredited healthcare facilities of PhilHealth.
01:17When asked by the state insurer, they will continue to improve their services in accordance with the directive of President Marquez.
01:24These new benefits that we are issuing are directed to our countrymen so that every Filipino can receive benefits.
01:35In accordance with the directive of our beloved President, we will continue to increase the number of benefits.
01:43PhilHealth's policy will be effective on April 3.
