Assassin's Creed Shadows is an action-adventure game with role-playing elements developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. It is the fourteenth title in the main Assassin's Creed series and the successor to Assassin's Creed Mirage, which was released in 2023. Assassin's Creed Shadows was released on March 20, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, Epic Games, MacOS and Ubisoft Connect.

As usual for the series, Shadows is set in a historical setting, in this case feudal Japan in the 16th century (Sengoku period), when the country was a patchwork of dominions of individual princes and families.
