00:00Bureau of Immigration or the BI officially launched the Advanced Passenger Information System or

00:07APIS as part of the efforts to strengthen the country's border or border security and enhance

00:14risk assessment. The APIS, an internationally recognized system, enables authorities to screen

00:22passengers before they arrive in the Philippines. This system also prevents the entry of individuals

00:29who may pose security threats, including criminals and suspected terrorists,

00:34and is expected to expedite processing for legitimate travelers.
