00:19The Fireman's Uniform was worn by Grade 4 students of Barrio Luz Elementary School.
00:26They tried different activities such as climbing the wall,
00:29climbing the harness while crossing the zip line and rappelling down.
00:35There was also a maze challenge for the concept of EDEF or Exit Drill in the Home of the BFP
00:40and Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or CPR
00:44and other interactive activities conducted by the students.
00:49According to Cebu City Fire Station, it is important to teach fire safety tips to the youth.
00:54So that we can educate them with respect to fire safety.
01:02At their young age, they will know the work of our firefighters,
01:09especially in emergency medical services, in firefighting.
01:15According to the teachers, the students are already used to the earthquakes and fire drills conducted in schools.
01:23But the Fire Square Roadshow of the Bureau of Fire Protection has a different effect
01:28that the youth is surprised by the importance of firefighters.
01:32I heard a while ago that one of the kids said that when I grow up, I would be a fireman.
01:40So, this activity motivated that child to become a fireman.
01:45So, meaning that they appreciate it?
01:47Yes, they appreciate it.
01:49They don't even mind the snacks as long as they can perform the activities.
01:56Three days were opened to the public as part of the celebration of Fire Prevention Month.
