00:00Stéphane Fattel has been training here in Deauville for the past 30 years.
00:05He had a breakthrough season in 2023 with his first Group 1 winner, Sim Camille,

00:13Things have changed a lot since a couple of years,
00:17but I did find from the beginning it was a nice place to train
00:23because it was a relaxing place for horses.
00:28It was not far away from all the stud farms around,
00:32and it was not so far away from Paris.
00:36When I started, I started with only three horses.
00:39I had no honours really behind me, just one honour,
00:43and it would have been impossible for me to start at Chantilly.

00:50Having my first Group 1 winner with Sim Camille for Arras de la Perrelle
00:54meant a lot for me, and it was a very nice story.
00:59From the beginning to the end of his career here in France, it was really nice.

01:09We sold a couple of good horses, like Sim Camille,
01:12but Immensitude, Autumn Starlight.
01:15We have to recreate to have the chance to have some new prospects for good races,
01:21but at the moment we've got Tulipa Shop, who proved her quality last year,
01:27and she worked very well yesterday to prepare Prix de la Grotte,
01:32and she seems to be very well to have a good winter,
01:36and so that will be our prospect for the good races this year.
01:41Having City Light starting as a stallion carrier so well
01:46is a big pleasure for all the stables who used to have the horses for a long time.
01:52It was not only a short carrier two and three, but we kept the horses for a long time,
01:58so it's completely different when you have the horses for years and with a long carrier.

02:41and it's maybe time for me to go fishing because there's not a lot of place,
02:45and if she can have my boxers, she will be very happy to put me out of the way.
