00:00Over the past several years, Pleasant Acres Farm outside of Ocala, Florida has gradually

00:07been increasing the quality and quantity of their stallion roster.

00:11This year they took a big step with the addition of four new stallions.

00:15Two sons of Into Mischief and Grade 1 winner Doppelganger and Chess Chief, Fountain of

00:19Youth winner Simplification, who's by not this time, and Verifying, a son of Justify,

00:24who's a half-brother to champion Midnight Bisou.

00:29Stallions have worked very hard their whole life.

00:31Helen and Joe have made this a lifelong pursuit, for sure.

00:36And they have been in this location, which is about 450 acres, for the last 20 years.

00:43It became very apparent that we needed a few more stallions in Florida, and that was something

00:49that they hadn't tackled yet.

00:50And we have just kind of grown into probably being one of the largest here.

00:59We do have a big roster.

01:00There's 13 on here, so that's a lot to keep track of.

01:03We have Bodie Express, who came to us from California.

01:07The owners there are very excited, as he has two-year-olds coming out of the gate right

01:11now.

01:12We worked extremely hard last year to try to bring in yet another level of horses.

01:19The stallions that we brought in this year, our thought was that perhaps all of us who

01:25are busy running up and down the road to Kentucky might be able to stay home with a couple of

01:29mares.

01:30We're very excited to have Doppelganger here.

01:33He is the grade one winner of the Carter Handicap.

01:38He is a son of Into Mischief.

01:41He was a $570,000 yearling.

01:45He is a stellar individual.

01:48He's got a strong shoulder and a great hip.

01:50I mean, he is absolutely what I think everyone is looking for.

01:55Verifying, as you know, is a half-brother to Midnight Bisou, so that presents itself

02:03very, very well.

02:04The fact that he is the first Justify son to stand here in Florida really helps elevate

02:10us to a whole other level, I think, which is proving to be a lot of fun as well as great

02:17for our industry.

02:19Simplification is a real bona fide kind of racehorse.

02:22He has also become the Florida-bred champion horse of the year.

02:26He brings a lot to the table, being by not this time, he's the only one standing here

02:31in Florida, and we're very proud of that.

02:34Tammy is well invested in this horse.

02:37He still belongs to her 100%, and it's really nice to be able to tell the breeders that

02:42so they know that the owner is vested as well.

02:46Chess Chief, he brings a lot to the table.

02:49He's a very sturdy horse, running 39 times, and on the board 14 of those 39.

02:55He is a very good-looking horse.

02:57He looks a lot like Intimischief, for sure.

03:00Nice big shoulder, good walk.

03:03His winnings come up to almost a million dollars, so he is multiple graded play, so he brings

03:10us a lot of good things to Florida.

03:14I'm very happy to tell you these four new horses are booking very well.

03:19Our clients are very pleased to see the level of horses that are coming in now.

03:24We are very hopeful that each of these guys will get a very full book.

03:30We are well on our way to having that accomplished, so I couldn't be more happy for the Barbizons

03:35and all of the owners of these horses.
