FTC Sues Amazon Scammers For Deceiving Millions Through Passive Income Scheme

According to CNBC, the Federal Trade Commission has filed a lawsuit against Click Profit and its co-founders Craig Emslie and Patrick McGeoghean. The agency alleges they scammed consumers out of millions through a deceptive passive income e-commerce scheme. The FTC claims Click Profit falsely promised investors they could make substantial profits by purchasing Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok storefronts. The company allegedly falsified earnings claims, boasted nonexistent AI technology, and fabricated brand partnerships. The agency seeks to permanently bar the company from operating and secure monetary relief for victims.
