00:00The Chabut family was undeniably proud of their European champion, Siliway, and when

00:07it came time for the four-year-old to retire this year, they did what any owner would love

00:11to do.

00:12They built Siliway his own stud farm.

00:15Siliway is obviously a very important horse for this new operation and this farm.

00:20He's a dual group one winner.

00:22He was a champion two-year-old.

00:23He won the champion stakes.

00:25He's a very popular horse in France.

00:29Very hard to find a French horse winning the champion stakes in Ascot, so there's a lot

00:33of fans behind him and now breeders are coming to see him and they like him.

00:39Just different class horse since the beginning, since my father found him at Arcana because

00:47he was just special and we had a lot of sentiment for this horse, the history, since the beginning

00:55finally.

00:56We're proud of that.

00:59Siliway has got quite an extraordinary racing career because he had the speed to win over

01:04six.

01:05He won the champion stakes over 10.

01:07He was second only to Saint-Marc Basilica in the French Derby, which is a great race

01:10for a stallion making race.

01:12He was a top, top two-year-old.

01:14He was champion two-year-old in France.

01:16He won the Prix Jean-Luc Laguerre by eight lengths, which hasn't been done in 45 years.

01:20He had the speed, precocity, but could well run up to 10 furlongs.

01:26Siliway was bred by Guy Payant at a herd called Ville, he's by Galiway, and his dam

01:30is by Ken D'Argent.

01:31They've been two extraordinary stallions and there is a lot of precocity in his pedigree.

01:37That's one of the targets with him, is try to target that two-year-old market as well.

01:42We are quite confident that he will get two-year-olds, yes.

01:46We actually have 20 males, so we'll be for him this year.

01:51We booked three males at Gauss this year, especially for him.

01:59This farm is basically bought for him.

02:02Mr. Cheboub and his family have this champion and obviously very exciting stallion, we hope.

02:10So we are located here, 10 kilometers away from Deauville, just across the very famous

02:16farm Arradieu-Quesnay.

02:18When Mr. Cheboub and I met and had a long chat about Siliway, obviously, very early

02:24he expressed his wish to have a lovely farm.

02:28So we looked around, we couldn't have expected for such a beautiful farm.

02:32It's part of Arradieu-Quesnay, which has been extremely successful.

02:37And we are very proud, very, very proud to be now here.

02:42It's going to be very difficult to do as well as the head family, but we'll try hard for

02:46sure.

02:47To offer a host like Siliway in France, who won the champion stage in the UK, who was

02:55the best two years old.

02:57We are very happy to have established this new project with him in France, and I think

03:05he has a place to be the next superstar maybe.
