00:00So the Creative Scotland funding that we had confirmed back in January and that

00:04will start in April is going to be really positive for our support for

00:08artists. The first bit is about how we support artists to develop new work and

00:13that's one of the key bits of feedback we've heard from artists is that they

00:16need more kind of paid time and support to be able to do that and so we want to

00:21offer paid residency time which is basically opportunity for artists to

00:25explore a creative idea. There's the other side of it which is about creating

00:28new work, new shows and that's generally going to be in co-production with other

00:33companies and there's two parts to that. The first is about children's work and

00:38building on the success of our three-year partnership that we had with

00:43Capitol Theatre's Edinburgh and Aberdeen Performing Arts and the other is

00:47investing in new work for our kind of main stage which will probably only be

00:52able to do about once a year but it's investing in Scottish plays, new work in

00:58partnership with other Scottish theatres. So the project I'm really

01:03excited about that culminates this summer is called In on the Act and

01:06that's happening with four partners across the region. We've got partners in

01:11Lairg, Balmacara, Skye and on the Morven Peninsula and they've each been

01:16partnered with a professional artist and that professional artist is working with

01:21the partner and with the local community to explore themes that are important to

01:27them to develop a brand new short show that will take place in each location.

01:33All of the shows will feature community members in the production as well so I'm

01:38really excited to see the different creativity that comes from each

01:41different location and artists and community. We're working with nine

01:44schools currently on a project called Everyone is an Artist and that is

01:48working with teachers to support them to develop their drama and filmmaking

01:53skills so that they can bring more creativity into the classroom and then

01:57we're also partnering with BFI and Filmhub Scotland on a project called

02:02Spotlight that's working with community organisations all around the kind of

02:07Moray Firth area to support community cinemas to develop their programming.

02:12We've got some great musicals in our new spring-summer brochure. Restless

02:16Natives is a brand new musical based on the Scottish cult 80s film so I'm really

02:22interested to see what they do with that. We've got the ever-popular Rocky Horror

02:27Show in September and then for families I'm really excited about The Lion, the

02:31Witch and the Wardrobe that feels like it's going to be a real kind of big

02:35spectacle show. So we've got some live performance, some engagement and

02:41some film activity all happening out and about and so much more but those are the

02:46key things to talk about.
