00:00Day 1 of the Arcana October yearling sale proved as selective as expected.

00:08Exceeding expectations even, with 53 yearlings selling over the 100,000 euro mark.

00:14Lot 209, a son of Camelot, topped the session with the hammer falling at 440,000 euros.

00:20Nicolas de Vatrigan secured the colt for MV Magner.

00:24I'm very happy to secure this beautiful Camelot proven sire.

00:29I've been very lucky in the past.

00:32I bought it for MV Magner.

00:36I bought one yearling in the past for them.

00:38It was a son of Camelot. It was grouped in a place called Mythical.

00:41It's a nice horse also.

00:43I've always loved the sire, so I'm very glad to buy the horse today.

00:57Tim Coulmore and partners also purchased Lot 67, a son of Sayouni,

01:04with the agent Laurent Benoit signing the slip at 420,000 euros.

01:09It's hard to blame Sayouni and Mongeau as a broodmare sire.

01:13For me, he was the best colt of the sales.

01:18We all knew that he wouldn't be cheap.

01:20We had to fight against him.

01:22He went a bit above our valuation,

01:26but when you love him, you just keep trying.

01:30420,000 euros was also the price tag for Lot 49,

01:34a wooden basset colt out of a sister to Charm Spirit.

01:37Strat Coleman Bloodstock bought 14 lots,

01:40including Lot 14 for the happy owner of Odaria.

01:44The Breeders' Cup filly and mare turf winner was found at this sale four years ago.

01:52who bought Aradare here a few years ago.

01:57The 14 lots by Wooden Basset on offer averaged over 200,000 euros.

02:02Lot 201, a grandson of Nassau Stakes winner Winsley,

02:05by Wooden Basset was one of three lots purchased by Peter Brandt's White Birch Farm.

02:11Another one was a Churchill filly from the maternal line of the Aga Khan Classic champion Shemaka.

02:17We liked her with Jean-Claude.

02:18Lovely filly by a good first-year stallion.

02:23There's not much else to say.

02:24We hope she's good.
