JP and BMitch react to the West Virginia governor throwing a fit over the Mountaineers not getting a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

00:05Yeah, we discussed this yesterday.

00:07Have you heard it though?

00:08I saw it.

00:09All right, here is West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey talking about a basketball tournament.

00:16Six quad one wins and that was combined with an undefeated record against quad three and quad

00:24four opponents.

00:26Three wins against top 10 teams and the 24th toughest schedule in America.

00:33West Virginia deserved to be in the NCAA tournament.

00:38This was a miscarriage of justice and robbery at the highest levels.

00:43Now, who was the last team to get into the tournament?

00:46Ahead of the Mountaineers.

00:48That would be the University of North Carolina.

00:51Now, let's see how their resume stacks up.

00:54The Tar Heels went one and 12 in quad one games and even had a quad three loss.

01:02And we keep hearing about the importance of these quad one wins,

01:06but UNC couldn't even get six quad one wins.

01:15I mean, I preferred when he got into the miscarriage of justice and all these really

01:22kind of egregious terms.

01:25The governor ain't wrong.

01:27Okay, West Virginia had a better body of work to get in the tournament than Carolina.

01:31But Carolina took Duke to the wire, who is considered a one seed in the ACC tournament.

01:36Carolina might have won that game.

01:38His kid didn't have a lane violation.

01:39Oh, by the way, they're Carolina.

01:41Oh, by the way, you're the governor.

01:43Go govern.

01:45Yeah, but I think when you start looking at it, they are playing in a rivalry game.

01:50So normally you could just throw all that, all the picking them to the wire stuff out the way.

01:56It's not like a typical game.

01:58On top of it, they did not have the quality wins.

02:01And then when you look at the fact that the guy is from one of the guys on the committee

02:05is from North Carolina, that kind of just throws little things.

02:08And so he claims he after the fact, he said, well, you know, I took myself off of that.

02:15You believe it?

02:16Hell no.

02:17He probably discussed it by pushing him in.

02:19Then he decided to back off after he influenced the, you know, like you do.

02:23Sometimes you try to lead the witness, you know, they did exactly that.

02:29So I understand the governor's part, but I agree with you totally.

02:33It's not your damn job, dude.

02:36And the tournament is going to go on.

02:38So stop, stop worrying about it.

02:39Part of me loves that the governor of the state is that invested in the state college sports,

02:47right?

02:48Like in West Virginia, I know what those Mountaineers mean.

02:50I get it.

02:51It's wild and wonderful.

02:53I just, Ryan Russo has this bit that I think is really good where have you ever noticed

03:00how everything always becomes the most important thing ever?

03:06Like if we're just in this constant state of, this is the most important election ever.

03:11This is the most important winter storm ever.

03:12This is the most important drought ever.

03:15This is the most important.

03:17But that's that's what we've become in this country, right?

03:21And I just think we put everything up there off that.

03:26I have, I really don't give a damn about much because this way I have been through eight

03:32snow storms.

03:33That's going to be the last one.

03:35And I refuse to go to the store.

03:38They ran out of everything and I was able to go to the store after the snow storm happened

03:44I'm at the store and then all of a sudden now, guess what?

03:48There's a truck bringing new stuff in the back.

03:51What happened to the fact that we're going to be stuck in the house all these times?
