00:00Central government employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for the 8th Vetan Aayog.
00:11It is estimated that the salary of central government employees is expected to jump from 20% to 30%.
00:19But how much salary will be there at which pay level and what can be the fitment factor,
00:24this question is in everyone's mind.
00:27The increase in salary under the 8th Pay Commission will benefit more than 50 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
00:35According to the government sources, the work of the 8th Pay Commission will start from April 2025.
00:41It can be implemented from January 1, 2026.
00:44However, all the processes for this are necessary to be completed.
00:48The 7th Pay Commission was implemented from January 1, 2016.
00:52And it will be operational till December 31, 2025.
00:55But it takes 18 months for the entire commission process.
01:00In this case, it is difficult to say whether it will be implemented till January 1, 2026 or not.
01:06Usually, a new Vetan Aayog is implemented every 10 years.
01:10Accordingly, the 8th Pay Commission should be implemented from January 1, 2026.
01:17The fitment factor plays the most important role in determining the basic salary of the central government employees.
01:23In the 7th Pay Commission, it was 2.57, which increased the basic salary from 7,000 to 18,000.
01:31Now, in the 8th Vetan Aayog, three different estimates are discussed regarding the fitment factor.
01:371.92, 2.08 and 2.86.
01:42This will determine the new salary of the employees.
01:46If the fitment factor is 2.86, then the basic salary can increase from 18,000 to 50,480.
01:54If we talk about the fitment factor formula, then the new basic salary is equal to the current basic pay into the fitment factor.
02:01This is the formula to determine the fitment factor.
02:04Now, if you look at one thing, if we calculate the salary under these three fitment factors in the 7th Pay Commission,
02:13then you can easily see the calculation in this chart,
02:15in which we have calculated the salaries from level 1 to level 10 according to different fitment factors.
02:22And if I explain as an example, then if we look at level 1, then 18,000 is the basic pay.
02:28If we look at it under the 1.92 fitment factor, then it will increase to 34,560.
02:33If we look at it according to the 2.08 fitment factor, then it will be 37,440.
02:39Similarly, if we look at it as a 2.86 fitment factor, then it will be 51,480.
02:45In every new salary, the inflation rate is reset in the beginning.
02:50And now in the 7th salary, the DAF is running at 53%.
02:54There will be an increase of 3% in this.
02:57But in the 8th Pay Commission, it will be reset from 0 and then it will be increased on a regular interval.
