01:25I started when I was 11 years old.

01:29I was influenced by my father.

01:32My father was the first powerlifter in our family.

01:36Because of him, I went to this sport at the age of 11.

01:40From then, I continued my powerlifting journey.

01:45Because of powerlifting,

01:47it helps Jessa's studies from the government incentives and financial assistance she receives.

01:53But the national athlete also admitted that

01:55it is not easy to accompany being a student and training as an athlete.

02:00Even though it is hard, Jessa continues her pursuit

02:02to achieve her dreams and finish her studies.

02:07For me, all I have today is to encourage myself

02:11that I can do it all with my strength and also with God.

02:15Because I know that it is impossible when it comes to our Lord.

02:18Because of his help, I was able to cope up through my faithfulness to him.

02:30Many times, Tabuan has been named as one of the Philippines'

02:34International Powerlifting Competitions.

02:36In fact, two world titles and three Asian gold medals were awarded by the Filipino powerlifter.

02:43And sometimes, it did not occur to her that she could do it.

02:47Jessa was also one of the winners of the Philippine Sports Writers' Awards Night in January.

02:53In 2024, she made history as a Filipino powerlifter

02:57and was awarded a medal in the 2024 World Classics and Equipped Sub-Junior and Junior Powerlifting Championships.

03:04For the athlete, this is the greatest honor she has received so far.

03:09The total weight she lifted was only 427.5 kilograms,

03:15which is equivalent to the weight of almost her body weight.

03:18But what was the secret of the athlete to achieve these achievements?

03:23How to become a world champion? Of course, first of all, humbleness.
