00:19That's the usual scene along the National Highway of Barangay Maguikay in Mandawi City.
00:26Pedestrians are having a hard time crossing the road
00:28because they are not familiar with the vehicles.
00:40Because of this, a new state-of-the-art skywalk or pedestrian overpass was built.
00:47This is with the help of the Loan District Representative of Mandawi City and DPWH.
00:53According to the Department of Public Works and Highway, 6th District Engineering Office,
00:58solar lights and CCTV system will also be installed in the skywalk.
01:02When we reached up to the skywalk, we saw that there was no vertical clearance.
01:10There was a container van, but now there's only 6 meters of vertical clearance.
01:16I'm so happy about this because I realized that this project will be completed as soon as possible
01:22because it will be beneficial for the students, workers, and also for the workers.
01:30The officials of Barangay Maguikay promised to take care and ensure that everyone can use the new skywalk.
01:38Based on our experience, there are many people who sleep here.
01:42The people of Barangay Maguikay are very happy because we have a safety officer who will take care of the skywalk.
