00:00This is a self-portrait, so this is basically me, right?
00:03Okay, I know. I have an idea.
00:05It looks like something that would be in Stranger Things or something.
00:12Hi, I'm Jenny, and I'm going to be sculpting my self-portrait.
00:22I feel like I'm in an art class right now.
00:24I don't think I'm a good sculptor at all.
00:27I am kind of scared to do this.
00:31I'm taking my nails off, guys.
00:34I don't think I can sculpt with these.
00:37This is my body.
00:38I'm trying to build my body first, and then I want to do the face.
00:46I think my eyes.
00:48Also, because I'm kind of blind, I can't see well,
00:52so I have to look at myself really close up in the mirror,
00:56and then my eyes are there.
01:02It's more of a lifestyle than one era for me.
01:05Everything regarding what I do is to do with my album.
01:10My mindset, I'm prepping my body for my album and what's to come after.
01:16So I think that's what I mean by it's become a lifestyle of mine.
01:21This is really fun.
01:26I wonder if there's a tool to help me, like, to pet.
01:37I really thought about it, and my answer is,
01:41I want to enjoy this life as a pop star,
01:45and then think about what to be in my next lifetime.
01:50I like the present moment the best.
01:53I love my job.
01:56That I get to scope something in front of 30 people.
02:00Okay, finally, time to cut something.
02:05Can I take this afterwards?
02:09Then I just need to perfect everything.
02:15I think I'm still figuring that out.
02:17I still don't know when to stop.
02:19Yeah, I'm so accustomed to keep going.
02:25And there's still so much on my list that I want to get done.
02:28And I push myself further every time.
02:31So I haven't met my limit yet.
02:35I'm planning, like, next year, maybe I could start slowing things down.
02:40Being at home is one of my favorite things to do.
02:43I haven't really had time to really, like,
02:46I haven't really had time to really, like,
02:49stay home after the pandemic.
02:52So that's something that I want to do more in the future.
02:57And maybe go on vacations,
02:59stay in bed as long as I want,
03:02and then watch a movie and eat something good.
03:05That's all I'm asking for, really.
03:12My essentials from my home.
03:15I like to bring my pillow and my blanket with me.
03:20So I feel as closely as being at home.
03:25I have a very big luggage that I bring everywhere I go.
03:30And it basically has everything from my house.
03:35I think it's more of a comfort thing.
03:38Like, I'm sure I can buy the same thing.
03:40But just the feeling of having something from home.
03:43I wish I had, like, another darker red.
03:46Can you help?
03:53Wow, that's a good question.
03:56I'm like the friend in the group that keeps everything not fall out of places.
04:04They come to me a lot when they need to decide on something or need help.
04:14That really just came out of nowhere.
04:17Um, thank you.
04:21I'll keep it right here.
04:25Are you going to use that?
04:29I don't think so.
04:30I'll try.
04:30Oh, you're really soft.
04:34I can mix it.
04:43That I don't give up.
04:53This is something that I've learned about myself during the time of working on my album.
05:01I don't think I can say that this journey was easy.
05:06But every time I faced a new situation or learned anything new,
05:15I kind of kept pushing myself to do more within myself.
05:22And that's how the album was made.
05:25So I'm so proud of it.
05:26And I love that about me.
05:29Everything was a challenge for me.
05:32This was my very first time working on a solo album, a full album.
05:38I really just ran into brand new things.
05:43I'm making petals right now of a flower, trying to make a red rose.
05:51Did you want to make that?
05:52This is my face.
05:54Oh, that's your face?
05:55Yeah.
05:56I get really distracted when I listen to music.
06:03If I need to be focused, I don't listen to music.
06:08I meditate.
06:09Started doing it a lot more during the pandemic.
06:15And yeah, it became a lifestyle.
06:19So meditation is a part of my album.
06:23In what way?
06:26A lot of the times I'm most creative when I'm meditating
06:30with my own words and my own expressions,
06:33because I know it's in a safe place.
06:36It really just helps me focus on myself.
06:39And the stronger and confident you feel about yourself,
06:45like the better version of you appears.
06:49And also, there's so many benefits.
06:52I just can't list them all right now.
06:54But it was a crucial part of my album.
07:01I don't have self-doubt.
07:02That's how I got here.
07:03I'm just really clear on what I want and what I like.
07:07And it can change over time from learning new things
07:11and experiencing new things.
07:13But I always like to...
07:18Sorry, it's from what I'm making.
07:20I always like to believe 100% in the way I think
07:25and deal with the consequences.
07:30I'm so sorry, guys.
07:31Am I overtiming?
07:34Okay, guys.
07:35I am ready to reveal my self-portrait.
07:40In three, two...
07:42Ta-da!
07:44This is who I am right now.
07:47This is how I envision myself with my album, Ruby, coming out.
07:51I am peaceful.
07:53I am zen.
07:55I'm blooming in the ruby red color.
07:59And I'm just sitting there meditating.
08:02This is how I see myself.
08:03And yeah, the back.
08:05I'm just manifesting this.
08:07This is so special.
08:09Thank you, Vanity Fair, for creating this time.
08:11I had so much fun working with Clay today
08:17and answering you guys' questions.
