00:00The installation of a steel structure for the MRT-7 in Tandang Sora will be done by DOT-R.

00:08Some roads will be temporarily closed and traffic will be placed in the said areas for the next few days.

00:19Noel, some lanes of Commonwealth Avenue will be temporarily closed

00:23through University Avenue and Tandang Sora Avenue

00:27This coming weekend, the installation of a steel structure for the footbridge

00:32in Tandang Sora Station will be done by Metro Rail Transit Line 7 or MRT-7.

00:39According to the Department of Transportation or DOT-R,

00:43the eastbound lane of the said road will be closed from 10 to 15 March

00:49until 4 am on the early morning of March 16.

00:53The public is being urged to look for alternative routes.

00:57DOT-R is asking for understanding and cooperation while warning the motorists

01:02while the government is working to provide better and more affordable public transportation.

01:09DOT-R has already announced that it expects to start partial operability of the MRT-7 in late 2025.

01:19The MRT-7 is 22 kilometers long and has 14 stations,

01:24including Quezon North Avenue Joint Station, Quezon Memorial Circle,

01:30University Avenue, Tandang Sora, San Antonio, Batasan, Mangahan,

01:36Toña Carmen, Regalado, Mindanao Avenue, Quirino, Sacred Hearts, Tala and San Jose del Monte.

01:45As part of the operation, the MRT-7 is expected to travel from Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan,

01:52in just 35 minutes.

01:54It can accommodate up to 300,000 passengers in its first year of operation.

02:00Meanwhile, the traffic of vehicles on Commonwealth Avenue Particular is faster than those going to Purview.

02:08Meanwhile, the traffic of vehicles on the other lane is slower than those going to Elliptical Road.
