00:00Absolutely, a dream come true. I am so grateful to the entire IFA team, the jury, whoever
00:11voted for me, the audience, because it was a big dream of mine. When I started my journey,
00:19I used to think that one day I will get an award. And when I got the award, I was so
00:25happy. I think I was very nervous and I somehow made myself calm and composed and gave a speech.
00:36But inside, I felt like screaming and dancing. So, I am just really happy and grateful.
00:44What was my biggest challenge? I don't know about challenge, but I would say there were
01:00a lot of things that kind of I did not want to let people down with. When I read the entire
01:09arc of Tamannaah's character, I was very, very excited as an actor because there is
01:14a lot that she goes through. She leaves this world of being famous and popular and goes
01:20back to music school. And after that, she makes mistakes also. She is not some perfect
01:25human being. So, just all of those beats, they were very real. So, I was hoping that
01:33I can play all those beats and do justice to the writing because people have loved and
01:39showered so much love on the show and my character that I just wanted to do well.
01:51I don't know what, you know, in season one, I didn't think Tamannaah and I were very similar.
01:55In season two, I stopped thinking like that. I was like, you know, this is a character
01:59that I have to play. And it was very beautiful because Anand sir, my director, gave me this
02:04advice, which is something he had heard from the actor, Javier Bardem, where he said that
02:09an actor has to be their character's best defence lawyer. To uske liye, you have to
02:14really fall in love with, you know, the character that you're playing to kind of understand
02:20why is this character responding this particular way for it to look like it's not just
02:25something that's written but it's coming from within. So, I stopped thinking whether
02:29we're similar or not. I just started learning from Tamannaah. So, I'd like to say forget
02:34similarities. I've learned a lot from Tamannaah's character.
02:42You know, like I said earlier that I was maybe wanting to do well. It was more because I
02:49just thought the writing was so beautiful and I wanted to do justice to it. And I was
02:53very excited for people to watch it. But other than that, I don't think I'm in a place
02:59right now to be stressing about these things. I'm just happy that I get to do the work
03:03that I'm doing. And I'm just very grateful to the audience that they waited, you know,
03:07for our show. We took a little bit of time but not for a second did any of the audience
03:13forget. So, I don't think I was stressing about anything. I was just hoping we make
03:19a good show overall.
03:24I think Bandish Bandits has really given me a lot in my career. I really owe everyone,
03:32you know, who's connected with that show so much because it gave me an audience. It gave
03:39me a feeling of being seen and heard which is so important for an artist. So, I'm eternally
03:48grateful to Bandish Bandits and of course, Anand and Amrit because maybe I can't put it
03:54into words but Bandish Bandits has really given me everything that I know and is probably
03:58the reason I'm sitting here speaking to you.
04:06You know, luckily in season one we had such a great rapport while we were shooting and
04:11I think that's what you can see and translate it on screen as chemistry because the two
04:16of us were just each other's support system. We were both equally excited, equally, I wouldn't
04:23say nervous but equally like, you know, wanting to do well. So, we would really push each
04:27other to do well and be there for each other. We really understood each other in terms of,
04:32you know, if somebody was having a bad day or, you know, we would advise each other.
04:37So, I think that friendship, that bond that we formed in season one only got stronger
04:43in season two. So, when we met on the sets of season two, we were firstly very emotional
04:50and just very excited to, you know, be able to play these two characters of Radhe and
04:55Tamanna again and their journeys are so different and beautiful in season two.
04:59So, it was a lot of fun and I think that's what, you know, you see when you watch the show.
05:03The hint is maybe but I, you know, unfortunately cannot say anything right now but trust me
05:16when I can, I will be screaming on the top of my voice.
