00:00And it's actually inspired by the movie, the film Chicago in 2002, and what we tried to
00:27do in the show is completely opposite of the musical, instead of being full-blood costume,
00:33we have every single number, all with bright costumes, feathers, sparkles, and it's basically
00:41her dreams being on a stage, that's what we are putting up here at the London Cowboy Club.
00:49There are a lot of original ideas from us, and trying to do completely different than
00:55the musical so that people see a unique Chicago version. We brought some Chicago songs from
01:02Franz Sinatra, we have some songs from actually Tango before Cellblock Tango, and it's very
01:09unique, people need to come and see it because it's a totally different experience.
01:25So we try and tie in with the venue, we're in a
01:541920s Art Deco, Grade II lesson ballroom here, the venue itself lends itself to a 1920s show,
02:02so that was one of the inspirations, and just the idea of bringing Roxy to life on stage,
02:08bringing her to London and seeing her hit stardom on a London stage.
