00:00In figure skating, national team figure skater Sky Chua
00:03is targeting to carry the Philippines' name to the Winter Olympics someday.
00:08Here's the report from teammate Jamaica Bayaka.
00:13Aside from her responsibilities as a student and artist,
00:17the 21-year-old figure skater Sky Chua
00:20is also making a name in the field of figure skating.
00:23Just this January, Chua carried the name of the Philippines
00:26in the 2025 Viso Winter World University Games held in Italy.
00:31Sky also achieved third place in the Sea Open Figure Skating Trophy last year.
00:37The figure skater recently attended an ice dancing training clinic
00:41led by the Shibutani siblings.
00:43This is a big part of Chua's preparation for her upcoming fights.
00:47I guess my upcoming competition this July is Asian Open Trophy.
00:53I've been skating in the Philippines,
00:55mostly doing team trainings in the morning
00:58and just focusing on myself, what I have to improve.
01:03The national athlete also shared that it is not easy
01:06to balance her studies and her training duties as a figure skater.
01:10Adjusting really my schedule,
01:12like finding the right timing to do things.
01:15So usually, like this sem,
01:18I am wearing my glasses in the afternoon so I can skate in the morning,
01:22something like that, you know.
01:23Just finding the right time and time management,
01:26parang whatever the priority is.
01:28But despite this, Chua's dream is to become a world champion
01:32and to represent the country in the Winter Olympics one day.
01:36Anyone's dream naman talaga is to be there.
01:38And I'm working hard toward that.
01:41Like, slowly, sana.
01:43Jamaica Bayaka, from the National TV Network,
