00:00The reason our country rose and differentiated itself from the rest of the world is because we had mandatory high school.
00:06We had the universal high school education.
00:08Every instance in which we distinguish ourselves is because of our great educational programs.
00:14Students come from across the world to go to our universities for a reason.
00:20So, I mean, why take away one of America's great strengths?
00:23Oh, I'd get rid of it. Get rid of it. Grants. Give them to the states and let the states do it.
00:29I mean, even every community has their own school board, right?
00:32We elect school board members here in May.
00:34And I think the local individual communities know what they want from their education system.
00:40So, take those monies and send it down to the states and have them allocate to the different school districts and let them control that education.
00:47Not Washington, D.C.
00:49The problem of education was formed by Congress.
00:51Executive orders matter.
00:53Now, if they want to contest it, I'm sure we'll see it in courts, which is, that's the proper place to be.
00:58Anybody that disagrees with this, let's put it in the courts and let the courts rule.
01:02America, he's using your kids' education money to give tax breaks to his billionaire buddies.
01:09It's that simple.
01:11He's looking to find any money he can so his billionaire club can pay even less taxes.
01:17And this is why every single Democrat said hell no to the nomination of Linda McMahon,
01:24one of the only nominees in history tasked with destroying the very agency she's trying to lead.
01:32Linda McMahon wants to detonate the Department of Education.
01:36So, why is she taking the job?
01:39Just to be destructive.
01:41The blast radius of this order will harm nearly every child, every teacher, every family, and every community.
01:48Mr. Musk, who is worth some $400 billion, and his fellow billionaires,
01:54do not have to worry about the quality of public education
01:59because they send their kids and grandchildren to fancy private schools.
02:06So what happens to public education is not of great concern to them.
02:11But for the working class of this country,
02:14high quality public education is an imperative if their kids are going to do well in life.
