00:00Senate Committee on Migrant Workers addressed concerns over Balikbayan boxes stuck in Philippine

00:05warehouses. Senator Rafi Tulfo highlighted the damage to goods, such as melted chocolates,

00:10and issues with deconsolidators failing to clear shipments. The Department of Migrant Workers,

00:15or DMW, is working to resolve the problem. Additionally, scams involving unprocessed

00:21shipments were noted. The Bureau of Customs announced plans to donate forfeited items

00:25in collaboration with the DMW instead of allowing them to be discarded.
