00:00Good afternoon, I'm Detective Superintendent Cheryl Kelly from Police Scotland's Major

00:04Investigations Team. About half past ten last night, police and Scottish Ambulance Service

00:10were called to an incident in Claredon Street in Glasgow. This was in response to a male

00:15who had been found injured. Sadly, a young 15-year-old boy died at the scene and this

00:22death is now being treated as suspicious. Whilst enquiries are at a very early stage,

00:29we have committed a significant resource to this investigation to establish the full

00:33circumstances surrounding this tragic death. I cannot confirm the identification of the

00:39young boy at this time, as formal identification is still to take place. However, what I will

00:45say is we have spoken to the boy's family and will continue to provide him with specialist

00:51support at this really distressing time. We've been gathering CCTV footage from the area

00:58and officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the local community. I would

01:03be keen to speak to anyone who has been in the area at this time last night or who has

01:10dash cam footage, private CCTV or ring doorbell footage or indeed any other information that

01:17could provide vital to this investigation. So I would encourage you to engage with our

01:22local officers who are currently at the scene, both detective and uniformed colleagues. I

01:27am confident that with the assistance of the local community, we will begin to understand

01:32what has taken place last night and has led to this really tragic death of this 15-year-old

01:43Division. We understand that this incident will be very concerning to the local residents

01:49and indeed the wider local community. I would just like to give reassurance that we are

01:53doing everything we can, along with our detective colleagues, to establish the full circumstances

01:57of the incident. At this time, we very much believe that this is isolated. Local residents

02:04and the local community will see a visible police presence. I would ask them to approach
