00:08site owned by North Somerset Council. The serene nature reserve is designated a Site
00:14of Special Scientific Interest and forms part of the Medrick Limestone Grasslands Special
00:19Area of Conservation, supporting a diverse flora and valuable insect habitat. The site
00:25is home to multiple archaeological features, including a disused lime kiln from the 19th
00:31century, a sheep wash and a powder house. The climb up the hill is absolutely worth
00:37it to enjoy the dazzling views overlooking Western Super Mare and the Bristol Channel.
00:43The hill is also home to a beautiful 16th century stone watch tower and St Nicholas Church,
00:49an old Norman church dating from around 1080 AD and consists of a tower, chancel and roofless nave.
