00:00Mmm! So good! I'm actually going to finish this but I'll stop. My last one.
00:16Hi GQ, this is Jenny and these are my essentials.
00:24These are my vocal essentials.
00:26Garethis pastilles for throat and voice. Hydrates your throat. So I like to just have this instead
00:34of gum so much when I'm in my recording season. This tastes like blackberry. It's not too sweet
00:40and it's a good replacement of candy. And this little guy here is my steam inhaler. Oh I love
00:50this device by the way. When I'm feeling super tired after my sessions you rip this little guy
00:58and then you fill it up at the back. You turn it on and you put it in your mouth like this
01:05and you just breathe. I think the key is to do it constantly. There's no immediate feeling better
01:12afterwards. For this album I wanted to make sure that my throat was in a good condition. You know
01:19like I said I like to be cautious about my body. We get like special effect around my diary.
01:32This is my journal that I carry with me. I bought this in Paris at a museum I was in I think.
01:42I basically like to write down everything that's going on in my head. Working on my album I could
01:48not go anywhere without it because it had all my ideas and thoughts and all the secrets. I look back
01:55at it to get inspired sometimes. I clear my mind by writing them down but the problem is I sometimes
02:04don't know what I'm trying to say because I'm trying to write down so many things at once
02:09and then I look back and I try to organize something that I made comment about my music
02:15and I'm like what what did I want to change? It helps sometimes but sometimes it makes it
02:19even harder because I have to figure out my own code. Oh my goodness no
02:28I cannot have anyone read this but me. This is a newer camera of mine. I'm trying to be more active
02:37with this one. I was just in Paris and London before I came here so I had this guy around me
02:44all the time so I'm sort of just documenting my way to my album and if possible in the future
02:52I want to share it with my fans. I definitely like to photograph a little bit of everything.
02:56I have my team take photos of me while I'm working or if I have the time I would go on a walk or I
03:04like taking photos of the landscape, skies and trees and just capture whichever city that I'm in.
03:13I actually haven't had the time to look back at all the photos just because I was traveling so
03:18much but I'm excited to check the ones from Paris because there was a moment where I was walking
03:25out from the Chanel show and a lot of fans were waiting for me outside so I wanted to
03:31kind of capture that moment and I did so I'm excited to check on that one.
03:37This is so important to me. This little pouch that I carry
03:44is my collection of my Chanel jewelry and my Coco Crushes. You see I have different sizes
03:53and different rings and watches here but I like to style myself with different items depending on
04:01what I'm wearing that day and then I bought this cute little bag to go with it.
04:08Now I look for my pouch everywhere I go. I'm wearing some from the bag today. I create different
04:16combinations. These two are my favorite ones right now. I got this for my birthday last year.
04:21I like how this ring sparkles up my whole outfit every time I put it on. It just gives that extra
04:28shine. This has become an important essential of mine now that I'm working towards my album
04:37and my shows. This is a bruise cream. I'm bruised up basically everywhere on my body,
04:44especially my legs, my knees. Not only from the rehearsals though, I tend to walk into things a
04:52lot. Someone from my team got it for me when they saw my legs after a brutal shoot that we had.
05:00They were like, here's a little something to help you with that.
05:07This also is such an important travel essential. This is a shower filter. I just want to be
05:14careful especially if you're traveling around different cities at once. Just make sure my skin
05:21isn't getting any irritation from just, you know, anything. So I like to use a filtered shower head.
05:27It helps. This is the current one that I have. I think this is a Korean brand,
05:32Atojet. There are some hotels that don't fit this filter but 95% of the time it fits so I'm good.
05:41This essential is a sleeping eye mask. This is a Japanese brand and when you open
05:50this up, it starts heating up and it gives you this nice warm feeling in your eyes. I always
05:57like to use it on the plane and then I would actually have an earplug and a mask too. So if you
06:05see me on a plane, I look crazy but it helps to go to bed. But the thing is, this is a very
06:11important tip for you guys. If you open it, I don't know what the system is and how it works
06:17but it starts heating up so you can't reuse it. So make sure to open this right before you want to
06:23put it on your eyes. And then you just rip this out and voila. These are a super important essential
06:40of mine. I do not like to travel without them. This one is obviously a massage ball that I
06:46pretty much use it for everywhere on my body. I like to step on them when I'm brushing my teeth
06:52and just roll it around until it doesn't hurt. So I usually carry two of these and then I would
06:59put them in my calves and I walk around in my house and it helps to kind of just loosen up
07:06the muscles and de-puff your calves. Yeah, I cannot travel without them especially on the plane.
07:12You get sore backs and sore shoulders and everything so I kind of just like roll around
07:17with my ball in the seat. These are my traveling essentials. I would not travel without my glasses,
07:27my sunglasses, and some sort of a hat because my hair gets really messy after a flight. I have
07:35really bad eyesight so I need my reading glasses everywhere I go. This one I bought in London,
07:42I remember. Oh and this one is a collection from the collaboration that I did with Gentle Monster.
07:49It's called Chevre de Mimi. It's French and I cannot pronounce it but I wanted to name it that way.
07:56My next essentials are my snacks.
08:05I think it's very self-explanatory what they are so I'm such a big fan of salt and vinegar. I don't
08:14know if everyone is but me growing up in New Zealand this was my favorite thing to eat so
08:20it still is. There are different category snacks. For me this one if I want to keep things light
08:27or in the morning just I think I should eat one. Yeah, people think it's crazy of me to eat this
08:36so much. It tastes like baby food but the thing is like no added sugar, no artificial preservatives,
08:45nothing you know. It's healthy so I like to eat like a baby I guess.
08:56So good. I'm actually gonna finish this but I'll stop. My last one.
09:04Thanks GQ, bye!
