00:00The country of Sweden gave an estimated Php 16.35 million to the Department of Transportation

00:07for the continuation of the feasibility study of the EDSA Bus Rapid Transit Project.

00:13This agreement was made by the DOTR Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure, Jesus Ortega,

00:20DOTR Planning and Project Development Director, Felicissimo Pangilinan,

00:25Swedish State Secretary for International Development, Cooperation and Foreign Trade,

00:30and the Swede Fund Project Accelerator and its Acting Director.

00:35This agreement was made by the DOTR Office in San Juan City.

00:39The agreement was made to extend the feasibility study of the EDSA Busway for another year.

00:45Sweden will also provide assistance in providing technical assistance in the construction of engineering designs,

00:52in planning the Public-Private Partnership,

00:55in using sustainable energy,

00:57and in training Sweden to help in the development of effective transportation solutions

01:05that will bring great benefits to Filipinos.
