Aboriginal acknowledgements of country have been labelled ‘diverse’ and ‘tokenistic’ by the NT Chief Minister prompting criticism from a prominent Darwin elder. It comes as the Country Liberal Party leader defends her decision to not acknowledge Darwin’s traditional owners in a speech for the Bombing of Darwin anniversary, last week.
