00:00Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon emphasized the establishment of its own concourse or bridgeway for the EDSA busway in Ortigas

00:17The public expects the EDSA busway to be more modern in the next year.

00:21It is the task of the Department of Transportation to make the passengers' journey more organized and pleasant.

00:27On the first day of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon's inauguration,

00:31he personally tried to ride the EDSA busway from Ortigas to the monument to see the problems faced by commuters.

00:39One of the things he noticed was the narrow path for the EDSA busway and MRJ-3

00:44which is very narrow and confusing for people.

00:48This is why Secretary Dizon emphasized the establishment of its own concourse or bridgeway for the EDSA busway in Ortigas

00:55as well as clearer signages to facilitate the movement of commuters.

00:59As a model, DOTR will use the design of the concourse or bridgeway of a mall in North EDSA

01:05and will implement it in other EDSA busway stations.

01:09We're going to start the process of bidding out for the improvement of the stations for this year.

01:19So there's budget allocated and we will use the model station of SM North EDSA and SM Mega Mall.

01:27We will replicate those in all the other 21 stations.

01:31Aside from this, Kalihim also noticed the improper operation of some timers in the EDSA busway.

01:37Secretary Dizon insisted that there should be strict surveillance against illegal vehicles passing through the EDSA busway

01:42while continuing to study the possibility of its privatization.

01:46Meanwhile, Kalihim in Malacanang also submitted the list of seven officials who will lead the major sectors of DOTR.
