Flash floods across Botswana have killed at least seven people including three children and thousands of resident uprooted after days of heavy rains.

00:19Authorities have temporarily shut schools and blocked roads following more than a week

00:25Over 1,700 people have been evacuated from flood-stricken areas as the government races
00:31to assist affected communities.
00:34Disaster management officials said that inadequate drainage in urban areas may have contributed
00:39to water building up in some of the worst-hit low-lying areas.
00:43Evacuations and relief efforts are ongoing as officials continue to assess the damage
