00:27The agents are very happy about Kash. In fact, the agents led the charge for Kash.

00:32One of the reasons I loved Kash and wanted to put him in is because of the

00:36respect the agents had for him. I think he's going to be, I think he'll go down

00:39as the best ever at that position. And it turned out he was very easy to get

00:45approved. You know, I was not sure. He's a tough guy, strong guy. He has his opinions

00:50and I wasn't sure. He turned out to be very, he went very smoothly. I don't know

00:54if he's in the room now. He's going to be in the room very shortly. Where is he?

00:57Oh, good. I'm saying the right thing.

00:58I have to be careful. I can't speak too badly about him. I better be careful.

01:06I will say this about Kash, and Howard understands this. One of the reasons that

01:13I wanted him is because the agents love this guy and they respect this guy. And

01:18this is what they wanted. And even somebody like Trey Gowdy, who's a very

01:24good guy, but known as somewhat of a moderate person, he came out and he came

01:29out with a statement that was so incredible. He said, Kash is an

01:32incredible person. People don't realize it. When he said that, there was no doubt

01:36left. It was really a big statement made by somebody that's respected and on the

01:41moderate side. And I will tell you, I think Kash is going to go down as maybe

01:45the best.

01:49So that's the U.S. President Donald Trump praising Kash for his appointment,

01:52citing FBI support. Patel was confirmed by the U.S. Senate with 51 to 49 votes.

01:58Patel has vowed to restore trust in the FBI. He took oath as ninth director of the

02:02Federal Bureau of Investigation. Placing his hand on the Bhagavad Gita, the oath

02:07ceremony was administered by the U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi in the Indian

02:11Treaty Room in the Eisenhower Executive Office building on the White House campus

02:15in Washington. The U.S. President Donald Trump has praised Patel's appointment,

02:19citing his support among FBI agents, saying one of the reasons he loves Kash is

02:23that he wanted to put him in because of the respect the agents had for him.
