00:04and Barbara Broccoli have passed creative control of the James Bond franchise to Amazon
00:09MGM Studios.
00:11Craig said in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter,
00:14"...my respect, admiration and love for Barbara and Michael remain constant and undiminished.
00:19I wish Michael a long, relaxing and well-deserved retirement and whatever ventures Barbara goes
00:24on to do.
00:25I know they will be spectacular and I hope I can be part of them."
00:29Craig is the actor to have most recently played the British spy character, having starred
00:33in five films in the long-running series.
00:36THR reported earlier that Amazon MGM Studios will form a new joint venture to house the
00:42James Bond intellectual property rights, which gives the studio creative control.
00:46Wilson and Broccoli have led creative decision-making for the Bond movies after taking the torch
00:51from their father, the late producer Albert Cubby Broccoli.
00:54The latter was involved in the franchise since its inception that dated back to the Sean
00:59Connery-led 1962 First Bond feature.
