00:00The Philippine National Police is once again planning against those who will buy and sell their votes in the Hatol ng Bayan 2025

00:09because the police are spread out to guard.

00:16To ensure a clean, fair and just Hatol ng Bayan 2025,

00:21the National Capital Region Police Office, or NCRPO,

00:25is spreading vote buying and vote selling.

00:28According to NCRPO Acting Director, Police Brigadier General Anthony Averin,

00:33they have spread out all of their units to monitor the intelligence gathering

00:38and to carry out proactive enforcement operations.

00:41Aside from this, they are also continuing their cooperation

00:45with the Commission on Elections, or COMELEC,

00:47for the implementation of the contraband campaign

00:50that was officially launched this February

00:52to limit vote buying, vote selling and misuse of state resources.

00:58NCRPO is reminding the public that there are heavy penalties

01:01such as six years in prison and disqualification from the public office

01:06under the Omnibus Election Code,

01:08anyone who will do vote buying and vote selling.

01:11Meanwhile, the increasing number of those arrested

01:15is being carried out by the COMELEC checkpoint of the PNP.

01:18According to the latest data of the PNP,

01:20more than 1,000 people have been arrested due to the violation of the gun ban.

01:24Civilians are still the first to be arrested.

01:28In addition, more than 1,000 different caliber guns are being recovered.

01:34More than 267,000 checkpoints are being carried out in different parts of the country.

01:42The validated election-related incident remains one of them.
