00:00Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage, or FRLD,

00:03welcomed the government's warm support

00:06following the Philippines' successful hosting of their board meeting in the country.

00:10The FRLD is a global financing mechanism

00:13created to help climate-vulnerable countries

00:17including the least-developed and small-island developing states

00:20against the severe effects of climate change.

00:22According to FRLD Executive Director Ibrahima Chik-Diong,

00:26they are now focusing on the fund

00:28and how it can be quickly accessed by the countries that need it.

00:32Civil Defense Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno also said

00:37that the FRLD will greatly help the fund

00:41in responding to the vulnerable sector

00:44due to the consecutive storms

00:46that left a severe effect on life and property.

00:50We are waiting for their exact mechanism,

00:54program, how to apply, how to give approval.

00:57What we have now is their commitment

01:00that they will help the country through grants

01:04and the so-called concessional loan.
