00:00After 30 years and millions of paws hitting the pavement, the RSPCA's iconic Million Paws Walk is calling it a day.

00:09Each year, thousands of Aussies and their furry friends have gathered at parks and trails across the country

00:16for a fun-filled group walk in support of animals in need.

00:20Since its launch, the event has united 400,000 dogs and 750,000 people,

00:28raising an incredible $17 million to fight animal cruelty.

00:34But with the rising costs and changing fundraising trends, 2025 will be its final lap.

00:42The financial strain on animal lovers and increasing event costs has meant Million Paws Walk

00:48is no longer able to provide what it once could to the community,

00:52while also effectively fundraising for much-needed RSPCA services.

00:58The last ever Million Paws Walk will take place in May 2025,

01:04and Aussies are encouraged to make it one to remember.
