Where can Everton realistically finish in the Premier League table?

A look at Everton and where they could end up this season.

00:00We're looking at Everton and their changes under David Moyes. There's no secret that

00:09teams are struggling underneath them, the likes of Man Utd, Spurs have had a real poor

00:15season by their standards, West Ham even as well. There's obviously that big gap now between

00:20the teams fighting to avoid relegation. Everton seem to be away from that well, which is fantastic

00:28for them. If you compare it to maybe three months ago, it was really an unsure situation

00:34with the form towards the back end of Sean Dyche's tenure. Where's the realistic position

00:41that Everton could be looking to finish now and how happy will they be with this second

00:46half of season and using it as time for David Moyes to settle, get back and really implement

00:52his style ahead of next season, which could go anywhere at this point?

00:56Look, they'll be absolutely delighted. I think a lot of supporters, maybe even the

01:02freeking group, will be surprised by the start that David Moyes has. What is it, 13 points

01:09in his opening six games? His task was ultimately to ensure relegation battle was avoided and

01:19he's done that already. Let Everton know what, 13 points above the drop zone now, has a VIP

01:24switch. You can't see Everton dropping back into that, albeit they have got some injury

01:31problems, but David Moyes is getting the best out of these players and as you say, they're

01:35probably looking at the table now and thinking, where can we finish? I don't think anyone's

01:40getting too over-enthusiastic. You look at a team like Tottenham who are starting to

01:46get injuries back around, you think they'll be going up the table, but Palace, let Everton

01:50level points with Palace, can they finish ahead of them? Man Utd, who knows what's going

01:55to happen to them? West Ham as well, haven't really got going under Graham Potter, have

02:01they, since he arrived? Brentford are four points above Everton, so look, Everton would

02:08have finished, I think, 12th maybe last season without the points disruption, doing a great

02:13return. If Everton can replicate that, given the problems that they've had this season,

02:19then in the first half, under Sean Dyedston, it's more tangible progress and no one can

02:25deny that. In the past few years, it was on a decline, the league positions, and now it's

02:35on an incline again now and Everton are starting to climb towards that. That top 10 is the

02:42next task, I think, next season for David Moyes and he'll have money to spend in the

02:46summer because of the profit and sustainability situation. Everton didn't go and waste any

02:54cash in January because they couldn't get a striker and they thought, you know what,

02:58we'll leave ourselves more scope to spend in the summer. That makes a lot of sense because

03:03they've got players out of contract and they can have a little bit of a reset, you'd think.

03:10So, look, 13 games to go, I think if Everton finish 12th, maybe above Palace and Brentford,

03:17then it's an excellent return for them. I just think Tottenham might start picking up,

03:24but if when David Moyes arrived one point above the relegation zone, he says

03:29Everton will finish 12th comfortably, then there isn't a support who wouldn't have taken that.
