00:00The Presidential Task Force on Media Security welcomed the latest report of the committee

00:05to protect journalists that no Filipino journalist has been killed last year.

00:09According to PTFOMS Executive Director Jose Torres Jr., it is a crucial step in the continuous

00:15effort of the government to ensure the safety of media personnel in the country.

00:20Torres also said that it is proof of the cooperation of various government agencies including law

00:25enforcement agencies, media organizations, and civil society to promote a safer place

00:30for the press.

00:31PTFOMS also recognizes the dedication of those who help to uphold press freedom and protect

00:37the lives of media professionals.

00:39Further, Torres asserted that they will continue to address all types of threats and harassment

00:44against journalists such as online attacks, intimidation, and other forms of violence.
