00:06The 2025 midterm elections are coming up.

00:09This is what Christian Vascones reported.

00:21This is where the heated answers of Saguip Partylist Representative Rodante Marcoleta

00:27and Philippine Coast Guard Spokesman Commodore J. Tariella

00:30in the House Joint Committee Hearing on the issues that spread fake news

00:34now that the election is coming up.

00:36Tariella's answer was that he was just misquoted.

00:39I did not use the word traitor in describing your statement that the West Philippine Sea is just your imagination.

00:50I stand by the statement of President Bongbong Marcos

00:55when he said,

00:56The West Philippine Sea is not just our imagination.

01:01It is ours, and it will remain ours

01:05until the glory of our beloved country, the Philippines, shines.

01:11Hearing someone claim that the West Philippine Sea

01:15is merely a fabrication of the Philippine government

01:19is a disservice and an embarrassment

01:22to their entire party, the organization he belongs to,

01:26and even their own family.

01:28How can the one face the younger generations today

01:32and tell them that our exclusive economic zone

01:36to the west of our archipelago is nonexistent,

01:40effectively giving up the fight to assert their rights as Filipinos in the West Philippine Sea?

01:46On Marcoleta's return,

01:48he said that Tariella did not do anything

01:50to explain to the netizens that the congressman is not a traitor.
