00:00A real highlight of the new Cayenne. The nine high-resolution HD Matrix LED headlights.

00:12The core of a headlight is four light modules. The two upper bifunctional modules provide

00:18the headlight illumination and the additional high beam. The two newly developed HD Matrix

00:23modules at the bottom provide the digital light distribution. The light can thus

00:27be dynamically adjusted according to the driving situation. This is made possible by the LED chip

00:33with over 16,000 individually controllable LEDs with 1024 brightness levels, twice

00:40each headlight. In front of it are lenses made of polished lenses. They ensure that

00:46a homogeneous image is obtained from the many individual pixels. For the drivers,

00:52driving in the dark is much more comfortable and safer. Sensor data, vehicle data and GPS are

00:58re-calculated every 16 milliseconds in a central control unit. This makes completely new and

01:05improved functions such as blinding high beam possible. When approaching vehicles,

01:10the corresponding LEDs are switched off and the driver is not blinded. The lane lighting

01:15illuminates your own lane clearly. And when constructing and narrowing light, the light

01:20carpet is roughly reduced to the width of your own vehicle. With a range of over 600 meters

01:26and the new functions, the HD Matrix LED headlights make the night a day. And

01:31that for the first time unrecognizable with the Porsche four-point signature.
