Opening a window to ventilate your home may seem harmless, but it can be a big waste of energy. We discovered how mechanical ventilation systems recover heat whilst ventilating, saving 80-90% of energy consumption.

00:00I had more than 10 years of research at the universities where I did a lot of research

00:11Then you can bring this knowledge to the R&D department in the company.

00:15A couple of years ago, Fritzmann decided to develop an own ventilation portfolio.

00:20The idea is to bring fresh air into the room, so you are improving the comfort, ventilation

00:25helps energy efficiency.

00:30The big advantage of ventilation is that we have the heat recovery system.

00:34So we just don't blow out hot and warm air, used air, but we let it pass with the supply

00:43air coming into the building and then transferring the heat which is in the building to the fresh

00:48air which is coming from outside.

00:51So 80 or 90 percent of the energy which you would throw out if you open the window is

00:56transferred back into the house.

01:00We had a lot of trial and error simulations, experiments to design it like that.

01:06We can see how evenly distributed the flow comes out and that's due to the aerodynamic

01:12design we put into it.

01:15As you see, right now very evenly distributed, very smooth flow, not high velocity peaks.
