00:00I've been doing this job for one year now and to be honest it's absolutely amazing.
00:12The lifestyle is great, you get to travel the world, experience so much and meet so
00:17many different people every day.
00:19Just a very amazing and exciting job, every single day it's a new journey.
00:23When I have a flight, I usually for example if I have to go at 10am, I wake up very much
00:28in advance because I like to be ready and be fully prepared for my flight.
00:33I like to wake up let's say maybe 3-4 hours in advance also because I have to take a bus
00:39that brings me to CBC.
00:41CBC is the place where we have our briefing, it's called the Crew Briefing Centre and there
00:46is where we have a briefing with our team, the people we are going to work with and just
00:50to be fully prepared and have all the information about the flight and the people that we are
00:55going to welcome on board with us.
00:57As you can see Etihad's uniform is very beautiful, we have many accessories that give us this
01:03very beautiful cabin crew look.
01:05My favourite item for example would be the gloves because they are extremely as you can
01:10see elegant and it gives this very nice look on us.
01:15As well as the hat, it's also a milestone of our uniform, it also has to be a little
01:22bit tilted and close to our eyebrows.
01:25And of course the makeup is very important as well.
01:28I like to do my makeup very neatly, I usually put some foundation, powder, eyeshadows, mascara
01:34and lipstick.
01:35The lipstick is very important for us.
01:38We usually like to use colours for example like purple or pink which matches our uniform.
01:43Once I'm ready for my flight I just go downstairs and we have a bus waiting for us that brings
01:48us to the CBC.
01:50The route usually takes around 20 minutes but I like to listen to music and be fully
01:54prepared for my flight and also go through all of the information about the destinations
01:59that I'm going to.
02:00Once we arrive at the CBC we check in, we have our Etihad ID, we have a kiosk that is
02:06going to ask us some questions.
02:09Usually it's one safety question and one aviation health question because as I said we have
02:13to be fully prepared for our flight.
02:15So we go through these questions and once we check in we get the text for our flight,
02:20depends on the destinations that we are going to fly to.
02:23After we check in we just leave our bags at the counter with the tag and then we go for
02:27our briefing.
02:29Usually in our briefing we meet with the pilots, the cabin managers, the cabin seniors and
02:33all the other crew.
02:34We get to know each other and talk with each other like we introduce ourselves and then
02:39we go through all of the information of our flight.
02:42So for example we talk about the safety features of the aircraft, we also talk about the guest
02:47profile so for example if you're flying to Barcelona of course we will have a lot of
02:51European people as well as people like connecting from other flights, maybe they went on vacations
02:57to Asia or other countries.
02:59So we just talk about it like we also encourage ourselves to have a good flight, we get to
03:04know each other, introduce ourselves so it's a very good timing for us to know the people
03:09that we are going to work with on our flight.
03:12And after the briefing we just pass through security and then we go for our flight on
03:16board and reaching the aircraft.
03:18So my role in the flight, I'm working in the economy section and of course like our
03:23role is to take care first of all of the safety of our guests.
03:27That's the main point of our job because when the guests they come on board of course they
03:32want to be taken care of and our priority as cabin crew is safety.
03:36So of course we ensure for example during boarding that all their bags are stored correctly
03:41in their overhead storages and then before takeoff we make sure that all of the safety
03:45procedures are followed, the passengers are wearing their seatbelts, everything is secured
03:50for takeoff.
03:51And of course after that we take care of our guests ensuring that their experience on board
03:56so concerning the service it's really nice for them.
04:00So for example we take care of the service, we have a different type of services based
04:04on the route that we are going to fly to.
04:07For example for European flights since it's a very late night flight we serve a little
04:12a sandwich at first, it's called a cafe service and after a prior to landing we offer breakfast.
04:18So based on the destinations we have different services.
04:21For shorter flights for example we just have a little meal, it's called express meal.
04:26So on board we just prepare everything for the flight and for example the carts, the
04:32food, the tea and coffee and everything and then we just serve our guests ensuring they
04:35have a great experience on board.
04:37Of course would be the Seychelles, it was a magical amazing place.
04:43The island is just so beautiful, it has these amazing views, landscapes and I also really
04:49love Singapore.
04:50Singapore for me it's a very beautiful city, I have also an emotional attachment to that
04:54city because I used to study Asian languages back in university so for me I just love Asia
05:00and Singapore it's a very beautiful city that connects modernity with the design and also
05:06nature because they have a lot of green spaces and nature.
